  • Happy to see the latest update

    By anddrivetotheotherside
ETA - I changed my rating. I’m excited to see the unguided timer (& some of the guided meditations) back after the latest app update. I understand some stuff has to be saved for the paid version but making the unguided timer for paid members only felt like it went against the spirit of the books message. After the update this app is back to being one of my favorites. I loved this app. I read both of Dan Harris’s books. I’ve used the unguided meditation timer for the past 3 weeks. I liked trying the different guided meditations. And I was really tempted to try the paid version. I don’t understand the recent decision to limit the guided meditations to just a few and make the unguided timer for paid users only. How do they expect to get people to try the app out and love it to the point where they want more when they limit it to the point where it makes more sense to try a different app.
  • Meditated 40+ yrs; this app, Harris' book so much better

    By dohlink
More than 40 years ago I learned Transcendental Meditation when it was cheap $100. Since then I've meditated off and on, mostly off. I read Dan Harris' book several years ago. It changed my perspective on meditation, easier, more satisfying. Have used the app for a year. More than mantra, it's an ongoing process of developing awareness of what's in your head, what triggers you, and handling difficult emotions instead of them controlling you. It's inspirational, motivational, fun and interesting. I've tried other meditation apps but often find them more annoying than helpful.
  • Can’t get app to work, I guess?

    By Marcy Darby
Started reading book. Downloaded app in moment of excitement. Was able to see 1 session and nothing since. I’ve re-visited, fumbled around smashing options to try to find anything I could listen to at all. All I see are locked meditations (I suppose that’s what they are?) And all I get is an offer to buy for $14.99 a month or $99.99 a year over and over again. Yes, I assume a paid service would be marvelous, but not to be able to listen to anything to see if it’s worth it? Nothing. I could have tried a week for free, but I’m one of those who doesn’t want to sign up for something without a small indication that I would like it. I shall name my inner voice at this meditation app “frustrated and thwarted”. Oh well. I was interested.
  • 1 minute

In one minute you can transform yourself without any complications
  • Just good.

Well structured. Superb instruction. If you don’t meditate, this helps you learn how and why you might want to. If you do meditate, it’s a very nice, complementary tool to add.
  • This is what I have been looking for

    By jabow1234
I have read several books on mindfulness and meditation. This app provides the guidance and structure that has helped me learn more about and practice meditation.
  • Novice

I liked it, but as a novice I wish the free trial lasted longer.
  • Seems like a great place to begin.

I’m a true novice. This has been a nice way to start. I really enjoyed and benefited from the the first 8 lessons. I’ve not ponied up the cash to move forward with the lessons but there is a lot of good stuff here. I’m hoping I create the space to continue.
  • Too expensive

    By katerenn
I liked the few meditations I had access to but MOST are behind the paywall. $15/mo is too expensive for an app.
  • Good for subscribers

    By hjettlove
Still a good app for some very brief guided meditations, but I’ve noticed more and more (actually the majority now) meditations are for subscribers only. That was one of my concerns with the meditations being monetized. A nice feature might be a $2 or $3 unlock for certain meditations for those of us with young kids that really don’t need to be putting out an extra $15 a month or $99 a year 😊.
