Description

The AcuraLink™ Navi app is designed to provide in-vehicle navigation features mirrored from a smartphone to specially-equipped Acura vehicles. The AcuraLink Navi app is compatible with two specific 2016 - 18 Acura ILX trims: the Premium Edition and Premium with A-Spec Package. The App is compatible with the iPhone 5/5S/5C with iOS 7.x/iOS 8.x/iOS 9.x/iOS 10.x/iOS 11.x, the iPhone 6/6+ with iOS 8.x/iOS 9.x/iOS 10.x/iOS 11.x, the iPhone 6S/6S+/SE with iOS 9.x/10.x/11.x, iPhone 7/7+ with iOS 10.x/11.x, and the iPhone 8/8/X with iOS 11.x. With the new AcuraLink Navigation app, you can have in-dash guided mapping directions with voice instruction over the stereo speakers. Users can receive all the convenience of in-vehicle maps and routing, including continuously updated traffic information for freeways, highways, and major surface streets. Search for points of interest or specific addresses, and easily route to your selected destination. Includes free annual map updates. Download the AcuraLink Navigation app onto your smartphone and stream the entire navigation system into your Acura dashboard display. Use the Multi-Jog controls to interact with the AcuraLink Navigation app. The app is designed to work alongside other AcuraLink apps. Be sure to download them all. Data fees may apply (check legal disclaimer). Note: Works in both standalone mode (for use when not driving) and when connected to specially-equipped Acura vehicles available with the AcuraLink-ready technology. Requires registration with AcuraLink. Requires HDMI cable connector, Apple lightning adapter, and Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink® connection. Visit acuranavi.com to order the AcuraLink Cable Kit for more details (US only) or handsfreelink.com for more information. Some services require use of GPS for location-based content. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Bought it yesterday after my adapter cords came in that I ordered from Apple. Keep giving me errors. Already email support with pictures attached. Waste of my money and want a refund.

You’ve probably just bought a new Acura: Congratulations! However I hope the navigation system wasn’t a big priority for you because unfortunately this navigation system is flawed to the point of absurdity. Do not waste your money on this app. It’s buggy, counterintuitive, and your phone probably won’t have good enough reception unless you have it propped up on the dashboard—I have an iPhone 7 with Verizon, the carrier with the strongest signal in my area, and the reception is still inadequate with the phone stowed in the compartment where you plug in the cables. If you bought the 2018 ILX, that means you will have to stretch a heavy HDMI cord across the cab to use the app. On top of that, the app keeps crashing and has far less functionality than Apple Maps. I can’t imagine any possible scenario where it would make sense to use this app instead of Maps. Maybe if you got the TLX which I hear works with just the USB cord...but even then your phone is out anyway and Apple Maps is better. The fact that they’re charging sixty bucks for the app adds insult to injury.

Was ok for a while, now can no longer connect to server, say no service. Can't see any way to fix, I am going to Acura customer relations to see if they know the status.

Some people are lucky to have it work for a bit before crashing. I never got the luxury. I paid the money and downloaded it and wouldn't ever connect. Kept saying "can't connect" or "please download the app." I talk to the service people and they say my iPhone 6 Plus with Verizon isn't compatible. Apparently it's compatible with Bluetooth and everything else, but not that. Waste of $60 plus the cables.

Agree with other reviews. How can you charge someone $60 for an app and not ensure it works properly or when you see these reviews not make sure you fix it? How do we get a refund?
