When I’m in the middle of scrolling through stories, the app suddenly refreshes and I’m back at the top, forcing me to find my place again. Worse, this happens in the middle of a story. Then I have to find the story again and reload it. Also, when scrolling on an iPhone, you to be careful not fall into the carefully designed trap of launching an ad. I realize that ads are necessary, but it does no good when I have no interest in the ad. It just creates negative feelings about the product. Self defeating!
  • Pretty good, though would love these improvements

I wish there was a search feature. I also wish if I want to find an article I read in the printed “Metro and State” section, I could find the “Metro and State” section online. Sometimes I’m reminded the next day or so of a story I read and would like to be able to share on social media.
  • Poorly written software.

The title says it all. The app constantly reboots back to the home page, forcing you to go through the pages to get to the article you were reading. I’ve watched these guys over the years and their response is always “you need to buy our grossly overpriced x edition”. Hey, folks, The NY Times is cheaper and supports a massive operating staff.

Read on the app every day for news and also cultural activities in North Texas.
  • Worthless

Why can’t I read articles as they are arranged in the printed newspaper? Poorly designed and frustrating to use. Let me read the printed paper as an online version.

I like the app. Just wish there was a search option, to look for archived articles.

Long time subscriber of the NYT, Washington Post , WSJ and FT. As a NYC transplant to DFW, I find the content to be fair, relatively unbiased and of high journalistic integrity. The app is of an intuitive design, easy to navigate and technologically stable
  • Perfect way to read the paper

Love being able to read the paper without the paper. Synced easily with Facebook so I am able to read articles through that app as well.
  • Good for news but....

Latest version keeps reloading and takes me back to opening page while I’m reading a story.
