Wow the struggle is real with this app. It took forever to set up my echo because the app is very unstable and buggy.

Updated to the latest iOS and the List function on the app stopped working. Coding to create a list isn’t rocket science. Fix the app.

Amazon is a major tech company and honestly I expected more attention to detail. This app is very glitchy. It won’t even let me update my address for local weather. Good job guys (sarcasm).

Where is the support for iPhone X???
  • Absolutely Unforgivably Bad

This app is a disgrace. For a company with the resources of Amazon to release something this buggy and poorly designed is difficult to comprehend. The Alexa hardware is buggy enough on its own but given its low cost, I can put up with some unanticipated behavior. The app however is a total disaster. The shopping list locks up constantly and it’s almost a sure bet that it will need to be restarted at least once every time you use it. It continues to nag me to allow it to access my contact list which I have no interest in doing. Amazon should reengineer this from scratch and give us something that meets the needs of its customers rather than Amazon’s
  • The most frustrating app

    By Vulgar demos
This app is by far the worst part of the Echo experience—great hardware made useless by bad software. As others have mentioned, the most basic features, such as lists, do not load when you need them. I would add that the smart home interface is impressively cumbersome. There’s no way to batch edit. Duplicates are created with every connection. So if you create a new scene in Hue and ask the app to discover scenes, it’ll batch import all the scenes and devices. What other apps call “a scene” is actually only possible by creating a “routine” in this app which means about 45 taps to do anything. The “scenes” in this app are just already made scenes in Hue, and there’s no way to create grouped scenes without creating a routine.

The shopping list always worked before Now it locks up Can not access list without logging off and back on Very annoying Have reloaded app several times Almost useless when trying to use it while shopping
  • Poorly built app

Frustrating tap controls while searching for skills—feels like devs didn’t bother to read the Apple HIG. Also deeply disappointed I cannot clear command history in bulk. Overall just a crappy, slapped-together app.
