  • Favorite app

I’m in love with this app. I now get to listen to my old church in Nashville and so many other good podcasts. I get my day started now with listening to a motivational podcast instead of watching depressing news. I’ve shared to so many of my friends already. I like that you can download podcast and listen through your Apple Watch.
  • Battery sink!

    By Kaitl
The latest update seems to be draining my battery! I listed for about 2 hours today (almost entirely in the background) and Overcast was responsible for 27% of the battery usage. I’ve since turned off background refresh, but this all should not be a battery hog. Otherwise, love the app
  • CarPlay is broken

    By parlevoo
I downloaded this app for use with CarPlay and planned to buy the premium version. However it seems to have a bug where it only shows the first few stations most of the time (one out of five times it will show all the podcast stations which is really weird). I reached out to the Support email address a couple months ago but have never gotten a response...
  • Nice app

I wish I could change settings for individual podcasts. For instance, I would like to set one podcast’s new episodes to appear at the top of my list while the others go to the bottom. Other apps do this.

If your an avid podcast listener, outcast is a must. Better controls then the default apple podcast app. Highly recommend. Also, works with Apple Watch!
  • Memory pit

I love Overcast, but it’s eating the storage on my device. It’s using 32 GB of my storage. I can’t figure out how to delete stuff without deleting a podcast from my feed. I have the download set to stream (not download), yet it’s still using a ton of storage. I deleted the app and reinstalled it, and again made sure it was set to stream, but it’s using a lot of storage again already. Very frustrating.
  • Superior

I had to switch from Apples podcast as they kept making improvements that kept degrading the basic function of getting and listening to a podcast. This is an excellent system w all the necessary tools and tricks wo imposing itself at every step.
  • Overall better than native

    By Whitefencepost
I hated when Apple removed continuous play from the default podcasts app. This feature and the ability to send podcast episodes straight to a playlist automatically is great. I get the sense that the native app still gets episodes sooner but I could be totally wrong on that. The only thing I miss from Apple Podcasts is the volume slider being right there in now playing. I will say that Apple podcasts looks better than Overcast, but Overcast functions much better and is by far easier and more convenient to use.
