  • EVERY DAY I fight to sync data

    By NEOBart
Update 5/24/18 Syncing has been working pretty well for a while as of two days ago the watch app will no longer talk to the iPhone app. Once again the app just stops working yes I’ve rebooted both devices it’s making a connection via Bluetooth in the pillow App will not work!!! I’m relying on just autosleep now as it does work consistently every night, I used to use both apps so I could get a better comparison of how well my sleep was going but this app is no longer usable. Previous issues After the update on the 11th the App no longer syncs it just crashes when I attempt to sync data from the watch. So literally this app is no longer usable! How can I get a refund on this app? 1 STAR! EVERY DAY I have to fight to sync the data from the previous might! I've been using this app every night since March 11 and it usually works okay. Although it still shows March 11 as my best night of sleep despite having many other nights that were better quality. Better explanation as to how they are actually calculating the quality of sleep needs to be provided otherwise it's very subjective in my opinion. Again this seems to be only based on duration not the actual quality of sleep for the given period of time that you were able to get sleep. I would think there has to be a ratio of deep sleep to light sleep that would factor into this calculation. As an example if I'm traveling and I could only get four or five hours of sleep but 3 1/2 hours of that was high-quality, the app shows me that I had poor quality sleep - when in fact I know I didn't have much sleep but I'm more concerned about the quality for that short period of time Rarely can I get up and the watch will just sync to the phone, I always have to struggle with it to go back-and-forth and sync multiple times before it really syncs all the data. There's no real explanation as to why they are calculating a night as a great night of sleep other than duration. If you're over eight hours, it'll be a great night of sleep otherwise it shows as much less even though the deep sleep quality is high for a given night. I get the error message turn on Bluetooth quite often and have to go back and forth to get the app to recognize the watch is already connected. When this occurs the watch shows as connected in Bluetooth but for some reason the app is not recognizing it even though the Pillow app has been started on the phone first. AutoSleep tends to give me much better analytics in that I can see at what time I had deep sleep and what my corresponding heart rate was. I also don't have to struggle to turn it on every night or to sync it in the morning.
  • Apple Watch

    By CloudChaser87
Not working with the Apple Watch. You’re supposed to tap the start button on the watch but when you do nothing happens. If the part for the Apple Watch works hands down 5 stars!
  • Still no auto sleep feature

    By cnstanford
I paid for the upgraded version of this app because the developer’s response to reviews indicated that auto sleep tracking would be released in February. In March, I emailed them to inquire on the status of that promise and was told it would be released “in the coming weeks”. It is now May and still nothing. I am moving on.
  • Liked it at first

    By deecar68
Got this app first on my SE and worked just fine. Upgraded my phone to 8 and now my watch says activate Bluetooth on my phone but it is active and so now my watch will not monitor my sleep with my phone even though every other App works just fine with my phone. Very frustrated. I also paid for the app while on my SE. Even tried to delete and re-install to no avail.
  • Phone won’t charge wirelessly

    By Bennypod
Wireless charging does not work when the app is running. Using with Apple Watch, and sound recording on phone. Other than this, great app! Hopefully a fix is in the works.
  • Calming wake up

    By Gkigst380573
Great alarm for waking up happily
  • It’s ok

    By Done tapping
After figuring out that you have to give it every permission under the sun *** it works ok. It tracks HR and all your sleep cycles and is a easy to read display. You cannot get any history or in-depth data unless you buy the full upgraded version for $4.99. Edited: ***I had to go into additional apps to give permissions so the features in the iWatch would work with the iPhone app. But needed to complete an online search to figure it out. That’s not my issue that was just making potential purchasers aware. My problem is unless I pay $4.99 which is higher than any other sleep tracking app I cannot compare my history, or get any expanded data. It tells me my best day and worst day, but I cannot go back to see anything about them. What does my quality % mean? How does it compare to yesterday? Cannot tell you because I cannot access that information without paying additional!!!
  • Kinda good but...

    By Megan Neal•
Pillow does a decent job at tracking my sleep, however, almost half the time, the alarm doesn’t go off in the morning and I’m late for school. It’s very inconvenient that if my phone locks, the app stops altogether and doesn’t work at all. Please fix this and I’ll redownload.
  • Not Convinced that the Data is correct

    By timeless1952
I have Obstructive Sleep Apnea and sometimes Cheyenne Stokes Breathing and I know with my CPAP equipment currently broken ! And Your App. telling me I’m Sleeping like a rock with 50 to 60% Deep Sleep uninterrupted ! Almost every night, I know it can’t be right ! If there was a lead or Bluetooth lead that attached to my body ! I may believe the data it’s putting out , is correct ! When you have sleep apnea for years ! You know how you slept the moment you open your eyes,or look in a mirror at the condition your hair is in ! With the addition of some type of lead I think this could be a great App. To help people detect, if they need to go to a sleep Lab for sleep apnea testing ! But just laying a phone on the bed ain’t selling me on the Data it’s putting out ! I recently had a sleep test at my home overnight, they sent me the equipment a recorder the size of a IPhone and an adjustable paper headband , with two metal buttons inside it ! It performed a sleep Apnea test on me and confirmed that my Apnea stayed the same ! Good luck with your App.
  • Unfortunately awful

    By Eamonn Donovan
I’ve been using Pillow concurrently with three other sleep apps and it is unfortunately ALWAYS the outlier. I’ve followed all the instructions and searched for ways to alter the sensitivity level to match my type of sleep both to no avail. While the other three apps consistently list me as a restless sleeper, Pillow consistently lists me as awake during most of the night. I don’t think it’s ever computed me as sleeping for more than 65% of nights with the usual night scores of about 40% sleep on average and a few 25%’s too during a few sessions each week. My advice is to find another app until Pillow is updated to cater for different types of sleep.
