What will I find here that no other Apps provide? - Actual layout of the route and all possible variations, on foot and by bike, based on Google maps or on ready-to-download maps for you to use when going offline. - Detailed profile of the route, which you can navigate through. - Your position in the map and in the profile, so you do not lose your way. - Stage planner for you to organise the route your way. - Real-time alerts and situations in the Way, updated on a daily basis by the journalists of Editorial Buen Camino Publishing House. - Thousands of geo-tagged points of all types of accommodation (hotels, B&Bs, hostels, etc.), points of interest and important notices. All this information is comprehensively extended and constantly updated using pictures from our own picture database. - This App is add-free! No accommodation business, bar or restaurant pays any fee whatsoever to be featured in it. Our guides are professional top-quality and updated guides. - Detailed information on every locality, available services and real-time weather information. - Mode-specific information for pilgrims on foot and by bike. - Available in Spanish and English, French, Italian and German. - Made for you by journalist Carlos Mencos, a pilgrim himself, distinguished with the 2015 Aymeric Picaud Award for popularising the Way of St James. Which guides are available? And what is their price? Right now you can download the Camino de Baztán - Baztán Route Guide – in full and at no cost! And the Camino de Santiago Francés - French Route, the Camino Aragonés - Aragon Route, North Way - Camino del Norte, Camino Portugués from Tui the Camino Primitivo - Primitive Route and the Route extension to Fisterra-Muxia.

  • VERY Good App

This app is a terrific help on the Camino. Real time temps, up to date albergue feedback and distance markers that make sense. Really a huge help.
  • Immensely valuable tool

The Buen Camino app was a wonderful resource as I hiked the Camino. It allowed me to know exactly where I was in relation to the trail and reassured me I wasn’t lost when I couldn’t find any trail markers and helped me find my way back on the seldom occasion that I accidentally took a wrong turn. It helped me find Albergues to sleep at and it was a great resource for planning distance and what localities I wanted to stop at and what those villages would have available for me when I got there. If you want peace of mind when you’re hiking the Camino, like where you’re going, what you should see, and what you need to know, then this is the app for you!
  • Best App for the Camino...wherever you start!

Great job in creating this App! This came in handy on numerous occasions. Buy the route you are taking; it is well worth it! Great for cyclists too! Because folks are actively updating, you will be ready each morning. My husband and I did both the Northern and French Camino (starting at San Sebastián to Santander, then León to Santiago), and this App was better than google. My phone was my camera and guide! Buen Camino!
  • Good but a bit hard to use

    By Alinaalvarez
I was super happy to hear about this app as my planning was getting me stressed, this app definitely took away a lot of that stress by having everything I needed to know in one place, links, recommendations, and lots of very useful things. However, I found it very unstable on the stage planning feature, I may not be using it correctly but everytime I want to plan a new segment or check I notice all my previous work has moved or disappeared, I also find it really annoying that the start point won’t pick up where the last stop is making me go every time through a huge list and spend so much time finding the start point again.
  • Buen Camino

  • Lacking

    By caminocamino
The app helps with planning but the labels are super hard to read, it doesn’t help if you’re lost and lacks good details.
  • Great App

  • Helpful guide and lighter then print guides

    By slarey
So far I have used this more than the paper guide. It has been accurate and the prices are much more in line than the Brierly guide. All this and free!
  • Rutas

    By arriagavarela
Hay un problema al momento de hacer la ruta y consultarla al día siguiente, simplemente desaparece lo diseñado y vuelve a los puntos por de foult
  • Love the plan your own stages

    By Sfbaldmama
On the Camino and I downloaded a few apps to try and this is definitely my go-to. My favorite part is planning my own stages on the fly - figure out each night how far I want to walk, and then use the stage planner. It also works offline - so I can see photos of the church or so in the little towns which helps me identify where I am. Took me a bit to figure out to swipe to go to next town.
