Description

BIAS Amp is a professional virtual amp designer that offers replications of 36 of the best vintage and modern amps in rock. With BIAS Amp, you have the power to create new sounds by designing your custom dream amp—swap out the tubes, preamp, transformer, tone stacks, cab, and mic, all via a powerful and intuitive “no menu” interface designed for your iPhone. Close your eyes and you’ll swear you’re hearing the real thing. With BIAS, you own a complete virtual collection of the most coveted and unique guitar amps of all time—some dating as far back as the 1940s. Every amp model is meticulously engineered to respond to your playing with immediacy, sensitivity, and realism that make you not only sound better, but play better. And BIAS Amp sounds great on bass guitar, too. But BIAS Amp doesn’t stop there. Create totally new sounds by designing your custom dream amp - it’s as easy as tap and drag. Using BIAS Amp’s highly intuitive and lightning-fast interface, it’s child’s play to instantly swap out colorful tube preamps, lush distortion circuits, classic tone stacks, boutique power stages, custom-built transformers and cabs loaded with specially matched speakers. The result is a depth and range of tones that is unachievable using traditional guitar amps or other modelers. Whether you’re a classic rocker, metalhead, jazz player, bluesman or singer-songwriter—and whether you understand how amplifier electronics work or not—you’ll be dialing in killer and exclusive tones in a heartbeat. BIAS Amp integrates seamlessly with Positive Grid's BIAS FX and JamUp guitar multi-effects apps for iPad, expanding BIAS Amp into a powerful and completely unified professional guitar system for live use, recording, and jamming. Simply tap the JamUp icon on BIAS Amp's upper bar to open your current setup directly in either JamUp or JamUp Pro. JamUp adds an amp and six effects to your BIAS rigs; JamUp Pro adds six amps and sixteen premium stomp-box and rack effects - including distortion, compression, tape delay, tremolo, and spring reverb. Both JamUp and JamUp Pro include Jam player, 8-track recorder and phrase sampler, tuner, and metronome, effectively turning BIAS Amp into a recording studio and top-of-the-line practice utility. BIAS Amp works with GarageBand and other audio apps using iOS’s Inter-App Audio and Audiobus. Whether recording, songwriting, or honing your chops—at home or on the road—BIAS Amp places unequaled tone at your fingertips. • Amazing, BUT...

Let me just start off by saying I absolutely love this app, BUT, when I use my iRig 2 to use BIAS, I connect my aux to my amp that has an aux in, I plug it in and other apps like JamUp sound perfect in there but when I use BIAS it’s WAAY too quiet. Please look into this, I don’t use this app much anymore because of it, but i do really like this app!
  • Buzz sounds

I'm sure this could work very well if it didnt have this distorted buzz sound even when my sound gate is at 100 and on a clean amp. Please fix this so I can enjoy this app
  • Terrible.

Get Tonebridge. This amp simulator makes so much extra noise even with noise gate at 100 percent. I have a strat loaded with humbuckers, and yet the amps make my guitar sound like a motorcycle when it doesn’t want to start. Save your five bucks and buy a really nice coffee.
  • The Best Thing Going

Without a doubt the best thing going for iPhone and iPad. No fizz, no buzz, no flop. Great bottom end too. Use it with AUM and add stereo FX. Use it with JamUp for a mono live set up. Could have been five stars but updates are poorly quality controlled. They tend to fix one thing and break another. Get that together PG...PLEASE!
  • Bias doesn’t cut it

I had high hopes for this iPhone amp. I heard many good things about how it sounds like a real set of amps. I bought in to bias whole set of effects amps and stomp boxes. It’s weak and I can’t get anything to sound other than a harsh compressed sound. Back to the drawing board.

I have both jamup pro and this app. Bias amp app has not worked in almost a year. No matter what you do I get the same flubby sound that cuts in and out. Using on a iPhone 6s. Is this app ever going to be fixed?

Omg.. Playing for 20 years, would never have imagined I could dial in master of puppets tone on my phone... Sick! Be aware as I see at least one other wasn't. This is the tone engine, and will not have fx... but does have amazing tone. It does also integrate with another program, that you can run fx with. Great job!!

I'm kinda old school, and little behind the times and technology, but when I came across Bias Amp/FX in the App Store and they were doing a huge sale, like now, I decided to go for it.... Positive Grid has TOTALLY nailed it!!! Fast forward a couple of months and I decided to get the Pro Desktop version, another huge sale, I got it all... I'm speechless!!! I can't wait to see what they have for me next!!!
