Doesn’t even give me enough of a sample to see if it is worth wasting my money on. Thanks, but no thanks

All the reviews I have read talk about accurate forecasts. I am comparing the app to other apps and news stations weather forecasts and it isn't close. For example, this weekend it is predicting 40-50 mph winds. I almost cancelled my plans before I checked elsewhere and saw most others are predicting 10-15 mph winds.
  • Best snow tracking weather app out there!!!

This is without a doubt the most favorite app on my phone!! If you love staying up to date on current and future snow conditions this app is for you. I use the current conditions and webcams to plan the night before which local resort I’m headed to in the morning. I use the extended forecast to help plan days off from work in hopes of catching a powder day. The free option is great for demoing the app and for the casual skier / snowboarder. The all-access version is a must have if you go to multiple mountains like throughout the season. It even has access to places like non-ski destinations like Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s worth every penny!!! (Edited - my 8 month old daughter prematurely hit send on the first version - sorry for the typos)

You cannot go wrong with OpenSnow. The forecasts are accurate and the app works great. I’ve been a subscriber since the beginning and can’t recommend it enough. The reports for Colorado are updated often.

If you ski or ride in Tahoe, you may have already heard of Bryan Allegretto. He is the snow whisperer around here and his (almost) daily detailed snow report throughout the season will turn you into an amateur meteorologist. The only people who don't use OpenSnow are those who don't know about OpenSnow. Now you know, enjoy! (I can only speak to the Tahoe reporting, but my impression is that the entire US-CA West is well represented here. I dunno about the east, but I guess if you ski in the East you should be more concerned about moving west)
  • App for snow lovers!

Beautiful UI. Integrating the comments would be nice, if possible. I use it every day during the ski season.
  • Great in the West - needs more on the east

If you're in CO or UT then download this as the forecasters there put effort in. I don't like the way the east is implemented. They need someone with personality, not nameless faceless Plymouth State Mets. There just aren't enough updates and details to make it as valuable in the east.
