  • Exactly what I needed.

I’m a structural engineer and wanted a way to mark up PDFs and sketch new details with my stylus. I’ve had it a half hour and I’m delighted. I linked to my work Dropbox, opened a pdf, added a sheet of graph paper and started drawing. A setting button makes shapes of your sketch (straight lines and circles is what I needed) click it off and start writing notes or drawing free hand. This is perfect.

  • I’ll need two more features before I can love it

I wish GoodNotes gave us the ability to have several preset pens. I like being able to switch quickly between pen sizes and colors on OneNote, and the fact that it is free makes it the best out there, in my opinion. But because I paid 8 dollars for GoodNotes, I want to give some feedback so that one day the same pen features may be implemented in this app. Otherwise, I love the paper customization. Also, please add the ability to change the size and rotation of lasso’d items.

I do a lot of note taking and PDF editing for work and other things I’m involved in. This app is absolutely perfect for that. I also have to draw a lot of pictures, and this app has wonderful integration with the Apple Pencil. Wonderful app. Very organized and very useful. Would recommend to anyone who has an iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. I wish I had this when I was in school.

I love and use GoodNotes every day. The one thing I would really appreciate would be the ability to flag a note I’ve made to set a reminder to follow up on something I’ve written down.
  • Side by side notes

The only thing missing is a multitask for notes. I would be great to have a multi-view of my notes not only a single page.
  • Best for iPad Pro with Apple Pencil

I am impressed with this app. I like the day runner format to use, and it is easy to make one into Good Notes. I also like to write in a journal there are so many things you can do with this app.
  • Some great usability with room to grow.

The main reason I got this app was to be able to search my handwritten notes in the future which I am very impressed with so far. I’m a little dissatisfied with lack of control in filing notes/ notebooks in to folders, limited paper choices/ hideous cover designs, and not having the option to choose whether I want to continue to scroll my pages as opposed to having to swipe to set up a new page. I’ve used more attractive note taking apps but being able to search my hand written notes without having to pay the ridiculous fees with Evernote is fantastic. I imagine this app will just get better. To add to my wish list I’d also like the ability to create sub folders/ categories to further organize notes and documents. Also the ability to arrange the notes in any location I want without being limited by only the built in name and date options. My folders are becoming cluttered and difficult to search without having to type in a key word. Hopefully we’ll see a substantial update soon.
  • Exactly what I was looking for as a college student

Got a new iPad Pro. Tried tons of other apps for taking notes with my Apple Pencil during lectures. No other did it. For the cost of a single composition notebook you’re buying infinite notebooks with this app and saving so many trees. The design is great and the iCloud interface makes it easy to review notes on all my devices. Bless you!💕
