Thanks to iCloud sync, your documents in GoodNotes will synchronize between your iPad and iPhone automatically. ## Make Your Handwritten Notes Last Forever ## GoodNotes features a state-of-the-art digital ink technology that will look great even with future super-high resolution displays. ## OCR: Search Handwritten Notes ## Just type in the search box what you're looking for and then tap Search. ## Better Than Paper Notebooks ## Type with the keyboard, insert images, or draw perfect shapes easily; mix between any kind of papers or even insert PDF docs inside a notebook; rearrange or delete pages as you like. It is very flexible. ## Annotate PDF Documents; Fill and Sign Forms ## Great for saving time, paper, and the environment. Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files are supported too. ## Large Collection of Beautiful Covers and Papers ## Each template is carefully designed in vector format. There are lined papers, graph papers, music papers, and lots of notebook covers to choose from. Add your own template with an image or a PDF file. ## GoodNotes Does Not Slow You Down ## Thanks to the powerful zoom window feature, you can write quickly with your fingers or with a stylus in a large area, and your handwriting will be shrunk automatically. ## Just Write Them Down and Don’t Worry ## You can correct any mistake any time and it won’t become messy. The lasso tool will let you move things around or even resize them. ## Protect Your Valuable Data ## GoodNotes features a trash function to protect from accidental deletion. It can also backup your data to Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive automatically. ## GoodNotes is Also a Digital Whiteboard ## Your audience will not see the user interface — just the content — and you can choose which part of the page to show them. Many teachers and lecturers are already using GoodNotes to teach. ================ The screenshots use material from Wikipedia articles Photoelectric effect[1] and Internal combustion engine[2], which are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share-Alike License 3.0[3]. • Lag on 2018 iPad - Lasso Tool is Frustrating to Use!

I see the advertisement on GoodNotes and think, “I want my notes to look like that!” When I finally manage to get my notes to look super cute, with photos and everything, everything I move with the lasso tool lags and takes forever to reposition itself! I edit 4K video on LumaFusion so I know it’s not the amount or ram or something, so I think the app is not fully optimized to work like advertised. Please GoodNotes crew, can you help me figure out what is causing lag when I use the lasso tool?

I’ve had no issues with this app. It lets me import documents up to 300+ pages.

I’m definitely still a beginner with these types of apps, but I love GoodNotes so far. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to edit PDFs, or to try digital planning/journaling.

This is a must have for music majors and anyone who can’t get into typing their notes in class. There’s manuscript paper (staff paper) and many other types for your note taking needs. Also, I love to write my notes on paper but don’t like varying notebooks around and this app gives me the best of both worlds!

It’s very cumbersome in some ways. But workable. Missing access to pdf files and access to the files on the drive it is installed on.

  • Data usage high

I was using Auto Backup, but my notebooks get updated every time I make a change. This results in VERY high data usage for my large notebooks (one is now 525 MB). (I keep my iPad connected to my iPhone’s hotspot.) Maybe they could figure out how to amend the backup function instead of replacing the whole thing each time? For now, I have to do a manual backup when I get to (non-cellular hotspot) WiFi, because my iPad doesn’t know the difference between using my cell phone’s hotspot and (landline) WiFi.

This was the first digital writing app that I purchased, the other being Notability, and I absolutely love it!!!! I love how customizable the paper, notebook covers, pen/highlighter colors , and pen sizes are. HOWEVER, my only wish is that it would incorporate an audio recording tool such as Notability! I’m always on the lookout for this because it seems like years since it was mentioned to be in the works on the GoodNotes website. For that reason alone, I find myself having to resort to Notability for its audio capabilities, which really annoys me because I really prefer GoodNotes when it comes to formatting and writing. Even though I end up using Notability on the daily for school, I do find myself returning to GoodNotes to write on documents, PDFs, textbooks, and other readings. Its perfect for annotating texts! Overall, this is an amazing app! The functions are very customizable and can be easily fitted to the user! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because it has failed to develop the audio function, which thousands of similar users like myself have upvoted on its Request Feature page on the GoodNotes website.
