Wonderful cruise - our first and we will definitely go again - we’ve booked Disney Alaska for next June. Check-in/boarding: very efficient and much less time than I expected. We were a later boarding group, but this worked to our advantage without a lot of people in line. Boat condition: beautiful! Very pretty, well maintained and had a logical flow to it. Plenty of areas for shade and sun, as well as areas for the adults to get away. Cabin: we stayed in veranda w/Balcony on deck 11 - just below concierge class and was impressed. We had a decent amount of space for our family of 4. The balcony was definitely worth it as we used it every morning for breakfast. Kids loved having their own beds and had plenty of room. Bathroom set up was a bit tight, but used the space well and no overall complaints. Food: Amazing! Very high quality and great variety for lunch on deck 9. The food had good taste - I was expecting it to be more bland like the parks to cater to a more Midwest palate, but exceeded my expectations. Our dinners at the 3 rotational restaurants were excellent - very good mix of meat/pasta/vegetarian/seafood with variety. We didn’t book Palo/Remy up charge restaurant for dinner but didn’t feel I had missed out. Although my wife and I did book the 5 course desert tastings at Remy and had the most amazing experience hosted by the Remy head desert Chef - 4 guests served by 6 staff! Highly recommend this add-on experience with paired dessert wine! Vanelope’s Ice Cream shop was outstanding. The Gelato was first rate on variety of flavors and quality. Although it was an up-charge and wish it wasn’t, I understand why it is to prevent people from completely pigging out and the up charge was quite reasonable for what you got. We had the later dinning time - 8:15 - which initially I wasn’t crazy about, but ended up working perfectly for us in how we structured our day. Entertainment: they thoroughly enjoyed the Kids clubs - we have 2 tweens, so they spent their time at Edge and there was not shortage of things to do. They only problem was they didn’t want to leave! The aqua-duck slide was a big hit, but be prepared for long wait times on the at sea days - 45 min! Best do this on the days you have a port call? Movie theater was great although very narrow aisles. We ended up seeing Solo and Incredibles 2 and highly enjoyed it. Also saw Beauty and the Beast show and was impressed - even my 12 year old son who typically couldn’t care less about princess shows and had to drag to it for family time ended up liking it! Evening clubs we didn’t experience too much outside a few entertainers which were high quality. Main pool and movie screen were excellent - always something on and a great opportunity to watch eat/relax - one of my favorite overall activities. Again, this area got crowded on at sea days, but Disney staff was managing/preventing people from squatting for hours at a time without using the deck chairs. Castaway Cay was beautiful and I wished we enjoyed more time there but the kids wanted to spend more time on the boat. Staff: excellent - worked very hard to make you happy - especially our housekeeping/cabin person. Dinner wait staff was also great and I liked how they stayed with you for your restaurant rotation and got to know you and had excellent recommendations. No complaints on any staff. The Captain spent a good amount of time talking to us when we bought a model of the boat and got it signed. People/Crowd: generally no big complaints. People were pretty well behaved for most of the trip. It became a little close quarters by the end and a bit of a zoo for picture time. Overall a wonderful experience and truly special for first time cruisers!

Great invention! I was able to keep up with my 9 year old son and all activities throughout the cruise. Thanks for this ap!
  • Great app! Just needs notification update

    By AmandaKLaw
This app is awesome. The only negative is it does not notify you of messages. You must log in and click to receive them. There were important messages from the kids club and family I had a delay in getting. Other than this, the app was extremely useful and easy to use.
