Losing weight is a personal goal. Sometimes when a person only needs to lose 10-15 pounds, others are not sympathetic. Noom is a terrific way to lose many or not so many pounds while learning how to keep weight gain from happening again. I recommend it highly and plan to stay with the program after I’ve met my goal! It’s terrific!
  • Refund policy nonexistent, recurring charges even though service not used

It saddens me that in this day and time companies still rely on recurring subscriptions to bolster their revenues while it is clear that a customer is not using the service.
  • Dont pay for it!

Its pretty basic, you might as well go buy a book because its an app with a bunch of reading. Im more hands on, theres no challenge, the groups arent my sort of thing. You can count steps and count calories on several other free apps. So you can try it, but DO NOT pay for it! Definitely not worth their asking price!

This is a refreshing take on weight loss. Grounded in science and an easy does it approach the diet is not focused on food but our thoughts and actions around it. I’m in my fifth week and I’m down 10 pounds.
  • Change of articles

The articles at the beginning are more fun because it’s more of a checklist but then afterwards it just switches to articles to read. Pretty boring and not very motivating 👎🏼
  • Do not buy the add ons!!!

The app is ok. It’s basically calorie counting/food journaling with a pedometer. It helps me stay motivated. I got the added personalized diet and exercise plans. DO NOT DO THIS! It is “personalized” from the most generic survey that for some reason had to be done on the phone rather than email. The final plans are a joke. I could have found something just like them using Google. The app is a decent source of motivation but don’t make the same mistake I did in getting the extra packages.
  • Disappointing

The thing that is the most disappointing about this program is it truly has the potential to be super motivating and supportive if the program provided all the support it advertises. I really liked the fact that it had you weighing in every day and the idea of the food logging is great! However there are very limited foods to log and when you try to enter your own, there is no analytical breakdown. This program really promotes home cooked meals and advertises they have over 200 recipes to help you. But there are actually very few “meals” to chooses from. Most are side dishes or snack ideas. The goal specialist... where to begin. She seemed nice and I don’t think it was a “bot”, as others have mentioned, but she took 3-4 days to respond even during the week. I was so frustrated at one point because I was supposed to make a goal with her for the week, but the week was basically done and I still had not heard anything. When she did respond it was usually very generic, not motivating at all. The customer service is dismal at best. There is no way of contacting anyone but your goal specialist (which I had a hard time getting her to even answer me back for days). The only “customer support” they have is an email address. I emailed asking for a new goal specialist because the one I had was awful, and after a week I still never heard back. At that point I ended up cancelling because I wasn’t getting anything that I was paying for. I still use the free version of the app, but it is definitely not worth paying money for the “extra support”. Because there is none.

I’ve been on the program for 3 weeks and I’m finding it extremely helpful! The only thing I’d like to see is an online journal for myself. And when asked to developed goals, etc it would be nice to have those automatically go into the journal with the date and where I am in the program. Looking forward to 13 more weeks!
