Most likely the best app for password management. Seamless backup and syncing with all devices. Excellent tech support, fair price for goods received. Will purchase for entire company. Thanks Agile Bits for what you do.

I used to recommend this app to family and friends but after several years, it seems the vision of the developers no longer matches that of the customers like myself who bought in for a good local vault password manager. The company has made a purposeful choice to move towards a goal of subscription-based cloud-only vaults and the app reflects this by handicapping features for the local vaults and make it more difficult for cross-platform users to set up a new local-only vault on 1Password versions they get for the first time on platforms such as Windows by continually trying to push them to the cloud-based model. The lack of support for creating additional vaults from within the iOS app appears to be a purposeful exclusion by the company given they've been aware of users often mistakenly thinking Pro includes it since 2014. They'll advise you to create vaults on desktop app versions (which only works if you are still in free trial mode or paid for it) or move to their web based system. This is also propagating to their Mac app where they’re now stacking the data deck by forcing users who want 1Password 7 with standalone vaults to purchase explicitly through their website (which doesn’t make it easy to get their standalone version). This is likely so they can say in v8 that not that many users went through this convoluted process and finally cut this feature entirely. The fact 1Password has tied where you store your vaults to how you purchase the app (Mac App Store folks will soon be unable to get standalone vaults) is frankly the kind of monopolistic, consumer hating practices I’d expect of Comcast and AT&T, not a developer who claims to care about its customers. If you are fine with a cloud-based solution storing your most sensitive information, this is probably an adequate program if you get the subscription but if you're expecting a first class local storage only option, you should do market research of current competitors for your needed feature set comparison and buy them instead. AgileBits has made it clear local storage vaults are second class citizens they're waiting to either die off or "convert" to their cloud-based Koolaid. On the feature side, 1Password has improved and added 2 factor improvements. There are still areas of their UX flow that could be enhanced - whenever you want to see the details for a credential that doesn’t have the website URL already tied to it you have to copy-paste yourself and do two “Cancel” taps to dismiss back to the website and paste your info. There really should be a button on any login when in the app extension that allows you to use the Login credentials against a site even if the URL in the entry doesn’t match and provide a warning and possibly the option to save this new URL as a matching one.

I purchased 1pw4 but now my Acct is frozen and demanding a subscription. Naturally support is limited to postings - no help so far after waiting hours.

On suggestion from my cousin, this ‘wunder’ app was to be the end all of my log in issues, but it is not. I am still repeatedly requested by my Amazon and Overdrive apps on logging in to type out my passwords! Tsk, tsk! Delete...

I unlock my phone with an 8-digit pin, or with my thumbprint. I don’t want to unlock other stuff too. This is too much! Not only that but it forgets to use my thumbprint to login and I have to log into 1Password with my master password! On a lame iPhone keyboard that is a pain! Give it a rest let me set the options for security how I want! F this product!
  • My most used app

I don't do reviews, but this app is that critical. It's the one app if had to choose just one. So do yourself a favor and read why this app is a heavyweight and worth every penny and much more. Tired of recording, updating, and losing your username and passwords? Have a free app you use that solves that for you? Using paper and pen heaven forbid. BIG MISTAKE! you are missing out on loads of features that once realized you would never relinquish. 1 PASSWORD solves a world where family members, friends, members of a team, co-workers etc are forced to access secure sites, locks, safes.... In an age where our lives revolve around logins and passwords you need a true password Mgr. 1 PASSWORD has a large team with dedicated employees that exclusively update and improve this app that I have used for years. Seamlessly and securely organize and sync across all your devices including laptops, tablets, and Apple Watch automatically. With a single tap of your finger your browser opens, navigates to the site where your username and password are automatically populated and bingo you don't even hit enter and you are in. Organize your logins however you please. Folders, tags, categories. PAYING BILLS IS A BREEZE with a bills folder or tag. Ever lose your wallet or purse and need to cancel credit cards, replace insurance cards and licenses, etc. Tag these items with wallet and lose your wallet worry free. Select your "wallet tag" and all your credit cards with phone numbers are at your fingertips with phone numbers to cancel them, insurance cards, licenses, etc all listed so you know what to replace. Segment by work, home, family member, co worker or don't and use keyword search. Customize each login with categories of information from phone numbers to account numbers, log in questions with answers. A section for notes to record whatever you deem relevant. For example you have a credit card and want easy access to reward benefit info or the date a promotional rate ends. Record it here. These features and many many many more. I use it every day. 1 PASSWORD IS WHATEVER YOU AND A SPOUSE, etc NEED IT TO BE. ITS INFINITELY CUSTOMIZABLE, RELIABLE, AND AVAILABLE WHEREVER YOU NEED IT ON ANY DEVICE YOU NEED IT. MOST IMPORTANTLY ... ITS 100 PERCENT SECURE if used properly. See their website for best practices.

Great password app. I’ve used it for over a year, no glitches.
  • Necessary; needs robust tagging or folders

I’ve used the original desktop, iOS mobile, and Windows add-ins apps, thus I have a good amount of experience with 1PW. Last year I converted my iOS/iPhone account from Dropbox sync to an online account. The system works well enough, but lacks the robust management capability of the desktop database. Additionally, it appears iOS device tagging can now only be performed from a many-to-one basis at the account level as the tag tab has no provision to add tags from the one-to-many side, which was once available and dynamically less complex and error prone. The (latest) Windows desktop program simplifies the entry of passwords and works well with Chrome, but in spite of its basic design and limited capability it consumes more RAM than Excel or PowerPoint. Their support group confirmed this is normal but I can’t give up that amount of RAM to a program that remains primarily dormant.
