Dark Sky is the most accurate source of hyperlocal weather information. With down-to-the-minute forecasts, you’ll know exactly when the rain will start or stop, right where you’re standing. (It’s like magic.) Featured in: New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Wired, and more. YOUR WEATHER, DOWN TO THE MINUTE Dark Sky is able to create forecasts for your precise location, giving you minute-by-minute predictions for the next hour and hour-by-hour forecasts for the next day and week. BEAUTIFUL WEATHER ANIMATIONS The same technology that powers Dark Sky’s predictions also allows us to make the world’s first perfectly smooth radar animation. Other apps show you a chunky slideshow that makes it nearly impossible to tell how storms are moving. But Dark Sky’s radar animation lets you see the actual path of the storm: how it moved in the past, and where it’s going in the future. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS Dark Sky comes with advanced notification options: Receive down-to-the-minute alerts before it starts raining at your exact location, get notified of government severe weather alerts (for such things as thunderstorms, flooding, hurricanes, etc.), or even create your own custom notifications covering the next 24 hours for things like temperature, wind, precipitation and more. Even if you haven’t opened the app in days, Dark Sky will tell you what you need to know, when you need to know it. TODAY WIDGET The Dark Sky Notification Center Widget tells you at a glance what’s going to happen in the next hour and the next week, so you don’t even have to unlock your phone to quickly check the weather before heading out. TIME MACHINE Explore weather in the past or future. Choose a date and see historical weather data or future predictions based off of seasonal averages. APPLE WATCH Dark Sky looks great on your wrist. Get notifications and check out the weather for the next week with the Dark Sky app built from scratch for Apple Watch.

  • Poor Forecasting and Support

    By Ben A. F.
I’m in Germany. The forecasts are consistently less accurate than the forecasts coming from the default iPhone weather app, and the radar coverage isn’t supported in my region. Not great.
  • Needs DARK MODE!

    By Maui Kid
10/20/18 - Seems like the newest update is working as it’s suppose to. The app updates and information is accurate and reliable again. Still wanting a dark mode for the iPhones. Maybe someday. ———————————————— V6.x looks awesome! I’m sure a lot of work has gone into this update. I really like the smooth radar data. The last version of DS would always show clear skies on my watch even though it was raining hard. I hope all the problems have been fixed with DarkSky, because within the last year it has really been useless on a variety of levels. I’m giving it 5 stars based solely on the new UI and because I really trust this company that they are back on top. I’ll update in a week or so. Thanks for the update!!!
  • 260 Broadway

    By bf2c
I don’t know why the latest version insists on showing me the weather for 260 Broadway, New York, NY. I don’t care what the weather is like at the office that’s housing of these self-absorbed hipsters. I’m a paying customer: get over yourselves and use my last location as the default.
  • Used to be perfect

    By Megmouse1
Defaults to New York City every time I open it, instead of my current location. 🙄.
  • Defaults to NYC

    By greggonearth
Since the major rebuild a month ago the app continues to default to NYC on launch. The only way to switch to your actual location is to force quit and relaunch. 1 Star until this developer corrects this major issue.
  • Dropped series zero support?

    By twitter.com/KonEL01
This was one of my favorite apps on my OG Apple Watch. After the latest update I can’t even open it up anymore. The complication doesn’t update. I’ve reset my watch. Reloaded the app. Nothing works. I’ve switched to WeatherMate. Miss using dark sky tho.
  • Not happy with it.

    By Ja3030
I have been looking for a weather app that actually helps you be ready for storms. This app is not it. The only thing this app is accurate at is the notification of start and stop of precipitation. No storm tracks or any other storm info. Hopefully future updates will add more functionality.
  • Want the weather in Brooklyn?

    By darknitemoon
Location is almost always wrong when I open the app. Defaults to a Brooklyn Ave address and I have to manually choose Current Location almost every time I open the app. I don’t care what the weather is at your office. This is a easy fix yet has been messed up for a while. Learn how to properly use CoreLocation, developers!
  • Boooo!!!

By la app no vale verga
Bad app! No t work! I lost my money
  • Dark sky is not accurate as it once was

    By kdtwigg
Dark sky app has been not as accurate in my area since the lastest update has changed the format. The new formate is not as user friendly as the old one. Dark sky was the only app I ever used for minute by minute weather. Now the inaccurate weather made me look for a new app to do what dark sky use to be great at.
