This App works great and I love it. The only way it could be better would be an Apple Watch companion app that would allow you to quickly add bg, carbs, insulin bolus, and correction bolus quickly while on the go. Will give 5 stars when/if that ever happens.

Made me look like a star at my last check up. It makes it easy to track all my results, what I ate, dosages, etc., all on one page.

This is a nice tool to keep track of all food, activity, blood sugars and now even medications. It lets you see it all day by day and send a copy to email to print for your doctor.

This app works great on iPhone. Reads and writes data to health. Wish it would automatically pickup data from Dexcom.
  • Looks nice but needs to function better

The MySugr app is possibly the nicest diabetes management out there, but unfortunately it misses a lot on the execution. It's a really good looking and friendly app. Its mood is irreverent and not at all clinical, which is great for a tool you're going to want to use every day. The diabetes monster is adorable! The graph presents you with blood glucose data and helps you correlate readings to things like activity. I use the FreeStyle Libre CGM to monitor my glucose, and it is unique in that it doesn't require pricking your finger to get readings. Importing data into MySugr does work (you need to use Freestyle's desktop app to export a txt file of the data and import it on MySugr's web site), but note that the data can take several minutes to appear, during which time you think it's broken. Once the CGM data is imported you will find that although the data points show up in the chart, they're just for show; I need to manually enter readings throughout the day to be able to add extra data to them. The app syncs with HealthKit to get data from my other devices so weight and blood pressure will show up (eventually). Given the richness of the data this app is collecting I really expected a lot more in terms of how well it would surface intelligence about my data points. For instance, I'm providing it data about when I'm fasting, when I'm eating meals, when I'm taking medications, and how many carbs i'm consuming, as well as my fitness data from my watch, yet the PDF reports it generates provide zero insight for me; they're just more charts with more data points. It offers challenges which are not that hard to implement but also not that interesting. It constantly tries to upsell you on a bundle (I'm using a pro subscription at the moment).
