RECOIL will also include interviews of industry leading manufacturers and top competitive marksmen, so readers will be able to have a glimpse inside their world and find out what drives them. ---SUBSCRIPTION AVAILABLE--- **1-year subscription for $14.99 Your subscription will be billed to your iTunes account upon confirmation of purchase and will automatically renew until cancelled. ---SUBSCRIPTION WILL AUTO-RENEW--- The subscription will include the current issue if you do not already own it and subsequently published future issues. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. This Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period, your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. The cost of the renewal will match the initial subscription price.     App won’t load new issues. Won’t verify subscription. Developer left a message with an email address for product support. Email address didn’t work and my message with app issues was returned as rejected. Way to go! The app just got worse. Zero stars. 5-8-18: deleted app and reinstalled. Same issue as before. App developer does not respond to customer. I want a refund!

    Subscribed today to this magazine and SWAT. Recoil hasn’t started my subscription and it’s been hours. Had to contact customer service and said they will get back to me within 24 hours. Guess I will just have to read SWAT magazine until they get back to me. Will probably cancel.

    I’ve supported Recoil since the first printed magazine and the headache of restoring subscription for both Recoil and Recoil OffGrid is constant whenever you open the app. Can’t get the current Magazine to show as a download. I’ve tried resubscribing, purchasing it manually, all with no success. Considering dropping my subscriptions.

    Update: 3 Days after I wrote the April 15th comment, the Developer contacted me through the AppStore. When I tried to email them, the email response was blocked by the developer. However, I am alleviated the developer fixed the bug(s) that we’re causing my agony. I’m a bit of a candy man, so I’ll give them 4 stars for fixing the issues and contacting me professionally, even after I digitally humiliated their product. Thanks team. April 15 2018, This app is mind-boggling terrible. A few months ago, I had some time on my hands and though that I would catch-up on some back issues. Well, if you let your phone go idle for awhile the app ‘drops’ the issues. Then a person has to delete the issue and redownload. I contacted customer support, someone emailed me for some basic information and then nothing. This app is clown shoes. Your best bet is to buy back issues online hard copy. Once again, this app is for the birds.

    Now in order to read the concealment magazines you have to purchase them separately or subscribe separately what a joke. You think a magazine reading app wouldn’t be hard to get right

    I have a subscription for the next year, however the latest issue wont download. The options are to buy, preview, or subscribe. Will update when fixed. Great publication, better and more useful content for people who enjoy shooting, not just gun lovers.

    Refuses to load current issues, refuses to load past issues. Keeps asking subscribers to resubscribe. Total piece of junk. I want a refund for all the issues I am unable to access.
  • Great Content, Poor App and App Customer Service

    After the 3-14-18 update all my content disappeared, customer service response is to uninstall and download all my issues again (4th time doing so). My response to customer service is to make stable updates, it takes hours to download all the issues and if the iPad screen goes dark you have to start the process again as the app is unable to download in the background. I have been plagued by the repeat questions of do you want to restore your purchases. This happens every time I open the app. First time of the day or 1 minute later. Customer service’s response was to attempt to convert my account to another digital format without my permission. The issues are not delivered as a stable PDF file and you stand to lose access to the issues you have purchased. At one point there were hot links to subscribers but since leaving the old Apple newsstand and becoming a stand alone app this feature has disappeared. The app doesn’t remember what issue or page you are on when the iPad goes into power save mode. The content is great as always but Recoil needs to find another developer as Zinio is nowhere near the competency level of the Recoil editorial and content staff in delivering a high speed low drag app. I can only hope Iain Harrison can resolve the problems with this developer.

    The app is poorly done. Every time you open it you have to restore purchases. Every. Time. At the most it should only request to restore purchases when the app is updated, not 5 minutes after you just did it when you re-open the app. And if I’m a subscriber I shouldn’t get scrolling banner ads asking me to subscribe.
