  • Round and round we go.

Well, I am left speechless again. Another update today (I usually cringe when I see it since I don’t know what strange things are going to happen afterwards or if this will be the one time it actually works as I anticipated)....but alas, now it’s loading and then spinning its wheels trying to get past the splash screen. Ok, I’m a little concerned the folks behind this are missing the mark by a long shot. Or, as some of these reviews point out....they just are missing it altogether. This app has been around for a while now...and with so many competing services out there, one might think that the folks behind the app would want to be the number one go to app, heck...dare I say it; a brand name. Ok so actually, you are a brand name already with a huge loyal following; an addicted loyal following. Yes, Grindr did it. You built a service that fits in the palm of your hand that can bring you in contact with someone near you in a flash. You dangled the carrot...we took the bait. Not that there is anything wrong with that, except, well, the service seems to have more problem days than error-free ones. Not a great business model, especially if you want to maintain that carrot in the lead. We want to simply use this addictive app and not have to constantly worry about why we just missed a connection because something buggy happened. Or why we have more features at either a lower price point for upgraded services on other apps or reductions in good features on this one, yet after all of these years, the pickings are still very slim for the free and paid versions and the other apps keep offering more. I can’t imagine it would be too tough to figure out that if you design and present a good product and develop a loyal fan base, you probably would want to really find out what people want; you did...just kinda came how many years late? And then bring on top notch talent to make those desires into realities and more talent to keep things in tip top shape. Am I missing something here? If the free version was consistent and had a nice healthy offering of features, don’t you think more folks might be willing to pay for the upgrade, at a slightly more competitive price point? It’s called volume sales. Check it out sometime. Well, I gave you two stars today because before the crash (which could very well be server maintenance; wish you would have announced it), at least I did notice a revised feature. You are getting there, but from the looks of the comments on here...not very quickly. Less than 3 stars isn’t a whole lot of steam for that brand recognition. And as most guys know...what comes up, inevitably goes down. For example: ratings....and subscribers, who might have paid and helped fuel your comeback. (Slight breath) So, now I wait. Minutes, hours, days, maybe weeks? I can’t access my chats and for all I know people probably thought I lost interest and so they vanish as well. Not my idea of a great time. If you want to really see what your capable of, then look to the reason you exist to begin with and start really doing your research and amping up the app. Check out the competition for heaven’s sake. See what they are doing right and find a way to do it better. Build a better mousetrap. Cliche, perhaps...but If you are going to do something well, focus on doing that one thing well. Focus on bringing us an app we would want to give you 5 stars for and focus on being a male household name that puts all other apps in anything but first place.

  • Well. It stopped let me in after the update...

    By YoungDocJOJO
After updating (4/24/18) it wouldn't let me into the app anymore. Everytime I enter the pin the app crashes. Just great. Aren't there beta-testers for this buggy app? How about all that Chinese money that bought the app and ended up selling all of everyone's private data? They can't invest in debugging this program? I can't believe I'm rethinking downloading scruff again :/
