*** AeroWeather: for pilots, aviation enthusiasts, and everyone who is serious about the weather! AeroWeather Lite provides quick and intuitive access to METAR and TAF for airports worldwide. Data can be shown in its original (raw) format or as fully decoded and easy understandable texts. AeroWeather Lite is helpful for weather preflight-briefings, but also to just get very precise weather. All weather data is cached for offline access. There are many settings for units and format of METAR/TAF available. The app features a built-in airport database, which includes basic airport data like sunrise/sunset, twilight times, timezones etc. AeroWeather Lite now offers built-in groups for nearby stations, today widget*, and earthquakes. Depending on your needs, groups can be shown or hidden in the main list view. METAR alert notifications* are another new and helpful feature to stay up-to-date. Define multiple alerts for each station with the following criteria: flight rule (US NOAA), wind speed, temperature, pressure, present weather, visibility, and ceiling (BKN and OVC). Notifications will be sent to your device if the criteria is met (e.g., when wind is greater/equal 10 kts, flight rule becomes IFR). The AeroPix feature offers users the possibility to take quickly picture(s) of the weather at their current location. The pictures will be available to all other pilots (on the map or within an airport detail view) helping them to get a better idea about local conditions. AeroPix should be especially helpful when there's no or insufficient webcam coverage. Please consult our web-site for a full description of all features. In order to keep AeroWeather Lite free we added a small ad banner at the bottom of the screen. Consider getting AeroWeather Pro to have an ad-free app or remove the ad with through a on-time in-app purchase. * Additional functionality which needs to be unlocked (one-time purchase). In-app purchases are not transferable between Lite, Pro, and Mac.

  • Customer service no longer there

This is one of my “go to” weather apps but I’ve been having some technical issues and several messages to the developer have gone unanswered, including one more than a month ago. Doesn’t bode well for the future of this or their other apps!
  • Ads take too much space

Can I give it zero stars? Delete it!

All WX stations showing as expired with no way to reset app or get help with it. Phone and WiFi are both fine.
  • Black text needed

    By Capt M98
I use this app a lot but ever since a few updates ago the METAR text on the kian airports list page is grey and hard to read in daylight. Change it back to black.

Everything worked well and then another release came up. Naturally another developer that doesn’t test before they release and now the data is extremely slow to load. I can go check the METAR at A FAA government website by the time the data populates that’s how slow it is.
  • Update made it useless

    By Unhappy5
When I did the latest update it blanked my list and will not let me add airports. It went from being an app I loved to one that does not work.
  • Have to pay for METARs now??

    By Dirk Studmuffin
Metars and tafs have bern free and autoload ever since I’ve had this app. Wake up this morning and they want $.99 for metars now? Dont get greedy aeroweather we have other sources.
  • The best

I’ve been using this app for several years. Best smartphone app on the market for checking METARs. Helps with trending information too. Great user experience!
  • It's ok..

    By George_1010
It works good as long as you have a wifi connection. That is not always available so that's why I give 3 stars. Please fix this so I can update weather with LTE.
  • It’s gotten bad.

    By TheGoodKid1215
A simple, useful weather app has now turned into a bloated nuisance with the pointless map feature. Nobody cares about the picture you took at the airport. It provides no useful information. The developer should get rid of this function and return the app to its fast former self.
