  • This is an amazing app!

Beautifully designed, elegant, and has features on this app that most apps like this including the under armour app, would make you pay for. Granted, this app does have subscriptions where you can buy better features, but overall it has so many good features. I do wish that you didn’t have to pay for some of the features though like life score thing. Could you guys add a free trial? That might help users want to buy it more after ty see what it’s like.

I enjoy this app however I don’t seem to be able to update my weight! Don’t know why but it isn’t clear. Why can the numbers pop up so I can tap my weight? Help!
  • Great App but...

I would love to have the ability to add notes or journal on any given day. Having the ability to write down a NSV, or, the day my menses starts, or if I’m fasting, or add progress pics, or note a particularly stressful event, etc., etc. would be awesome. I would change my rating to a five star if only there was a journal feature. I love everything else about the app. The visuals have kept me coming back each day, and I’ve been known to avoid food tracking apps in the past because they weren’t as intuitive for me.
  • Horrible Update

I tried to find a way to contact Lifesum before posting this review, but it’s apparently impossible so I’ll post here in the hopes that the creators will see. I’ve been paying for premium for probably 6 months and have never had any issues with it. My phone automatically updated Lifesum yesterday and now the app keeps crashing, it won’t let me update meals I’ve created, and it won’t let me delete meals. Some meals I’ve created are showing no ingredients at all, and some won’t let me add additional ingredients. If this isn’t fixed, I have no reason to keep using the app, let alone pay for premium. I hope this is resolved soon.
  • Deceitful Advertising

They advertise on their app that the price for a 12 mo membership is a little over $3 and in tiiiiny print above it, it says $44.99. Oh and then they have it advertised in the App Store as $29.99, but they only give you the discount if you go from the App Store and buy the subscription there. Super screwed up way to do business.

Good app! I logged my lunch into my dinner. Make a quick way to change food to a different meal of the day! I tried to scan and add a food that wasn’t in database, but it would let me go passed the categories option. It’d bring up the categories window but it was all blank. Please fix. Thanks.

  • Pretty good- could be better for Keto

I really like this app a lot overall. Nice reminders and tips without being too annoying. Food searching pretty easy and plenty preloaded. Love the breakdowns of the meals if you are on/off track. Wishes for improvement: Not sure the carbs tracker for Keto strict is accurate- believe it’s tracking total carbs instead of net carbs. Eg if I follow other Keto recommendations I’m in-range/under carb totals when I eat high fiber veggies, but on app it’s constantly saying “over carbs” for things like almonds and avocados and nut butters. Has been frustrating and I’ve almost switched plans several times bc I don’t trust it (& is constantly telling me I’m off-track” for the day.) :( Also would be good to have a way to add more recipes or brands- sometimes our ingredients don’t match up to what’s included and have to manually load each ingredient.
  • Database of food leaves a lot to be desired

I signed up for a subscription this time, and I do think it gives a lot of good information and over all is a good tool to help me control my diet to keep to my goals. However the database of food is kind of terrible. Most of the foods don't offer units of measurements you would usually see in recipes like cups, tablespoons, and teaspoons. In fact you can tell most of them are user submitted because theres literally only “1 serving” as the unit of measurement. And what is that? I don't know. It wouldn't bother me with boxes of foods so much as it is frustrating for basic foods like chicken, vegetables, eggs, milk.... standard foods that usually have standard dietary measurements that should be put into the database by lifesum, not the users. So that i can put in foods from recipes. Honestly the other two calorie counter apps are far superior in this regard. I appreciate the clean design here, but if the database doesn't improve I don't think I will be too interested in renewing my subscription. Its too much of a hassle to search and search and guess which food and measurement might be kind of accurate. I know calorie counting is not an exact thing... but with this you probably will be WAY off...
