  • Can’t download books

    By PokemonKid
I bought races and classes separate from the books because that’s all I need as a player. But to download this on the app I need the entire book? Idk if I missed something but that’s pretty annoying
  • Useless....

This being the official DnD digital handbook, I had high expectations. I was wrong to think that. It is one of those apps that is.... pay to use but still is free. Do you think anyone is idiotic enough to spend hundreds of dollars to have digital guides to DnD, when I could get a free third party app that does more? I can understand having a few in-app purchases for exclusive content, but this is too much, with hundreds of dollars worth of guides. Also, it lacks even the most basic things such as a charter sheet- instead it cost $25. Any other guide out of the many? Each $25. There is one free thing in the whole app and it’s a garage guide that does nothing. Seriously. So much potential. I mean, just make the charter sheets free....
  • Frustrating!! Concept awesome, stability & offline access miss

    By rbmcnutt
I had formerly written a one star review, but Curse has fixed so many of the bugs, such as the constant crashing and offline access. In fact, they fixed almost everything in my previous review. THANK YOU! There are a some areas that need focus. We need CR tables and TOC entries that jump to the headings. There are many things that can be improved through hyper linking like on the website. Search still seams off, but it is all so much better I cannot believe it. The Curse team will fix it. We finally have a stable product and that is the basis for incremental improvement. I am definitely eyeing the legendary purchase now that this app works for offline. Great job Adam and team! Keep going!
  • Can’t log in

Current build (1.0.6) won’t let me lo in on iOS. On a related note the app needs a confirmation dialogue when hit the logout button.
  • Quite Lacking

D&D Beyond is great - but this app is really lacking in some of the basic features of the website such as the ability to view your character sheets and home brew content. It’s basically just a reference guide to the books, most which you could find for free elsewhere.
  • Great app for nothing on it

So not only can you not take the books that you actually have and import an ID or code or anything to be able to access them on the app, but you can't even create content like on the website. If you don't want to rebuy every book you have, then this app it a barren field and the only thing in it is the basic rules and that's it. It's a waste of space on your phone. If you have bought those books on dndbeyond, then you might find some use, but otherwise, don't waste your time downloading it.
  • The website is good. The app isn’t.

The app lacks functionality. You can’t even view your character sheet let alone build a character with the app. The website is really good for both though so go with that for now.
  • Love the site and app, but...

It would be really nice to reference character sheet in app. Dice rolls would be cool, too. Right now, the app doesn't offer much. I'm hopeful and will update if it gets better. Right now there is 0 reason to use this apps current features.
  • Love the website; Hate the app

    By MelancholyElf
I can’t view any of the books I’ve bought. Always say that there was an error loading it. Don’t even know why I haven’t deleted the app yet.
  • Great content, buggy

As far as I know, it lacks the character management and campaign tracking of the desktop site, but I mostly wanted it for the digital versions of the rule books. The layout and cross linking are very well done, making this a better way to reference rules at the table, compared to the printed books. I just it didn’t crash to desktop so often.
