    After just looking at this app I became 6,4 225 pound man I can run 40 yards in 5.28 seconds!!!(the fastest possible time btw) my vertical is 24.5 inches(the highest a person has ever gotten off the ground) don’t let me get started on my impressive shuttle time

    It has just about every sport, but I’m pretty sure motocross is way more popular than cricket, yet they have 2 different disciplines for cricket and nothing for motocross. Very disappointed

    The workouts are excellent, and I’ll give this 5 stars once you add functionality that lets the user click on an individual exercise directly, rather than having to advance thru the ENTIRE pliability sequence to get to the exercises & to see an individual exercise demonstrated. Impressed overall though.

    As an Ironman Triathlete I’m happy to see the three phases of the sport in this app. However, a triathlete specific selection would be better than selecting swimming, biking or running individually. I’m staying tuned and haven’t gotten too far in to the app. Looks good.

    I don’t usually write long reviews but when I scanned through the reviews that have been left most 5 stars are just saying how great Brady is and most 1 stars are just complaining about price. I didn’t see much that would actually help someone make a decision. So here we go... I have been using this app for a month and a half. I have the paid subscription (20 bucks a month). I’m not really sure what you can do with the app without the paid subscription but I know you cannot have a customized workout made for you (this is what I wanted so I paid the subscription). The app does have a lot of content showing you things you can purchase (clothing, meals, equipment, supplements) but they don’t shove it in your face, the products section has its own tab so if you don’t want anything don’t go to that tab, easy. A little background on me, why I chose the app and what it has done for me: The thing is was interested in most is the actual workouts. I read the book Tom Brady has written and, if you haven’t read it, he talks about the cycle athletes go through: train hard with weights and interval training, play, get injured, go through recovery, start over. This has been the story of my life as I’ve gotten older. I’m now 49 years old. I still play hockey a couple of times a week and I want to be able to continue to play. I work with a trainer a few times a week and we have done HIIT workouts (these are what Brady talks about in the book) for years. Over the last few years I noticed that I was always in pain. Not the good sore type pain but injury type pain. Shoulders, knees and elbows mainly. I would have to rest completely for a few weeks to get the pain to stop, then as soon as we started back the pain would come back. It was very frustrating. After I read the book I figured I’d give his workouts a try. The workouts are not as hard as what I’m used to but I definitely feel a difference. I can workout four times a week and play twice without pain. That in itself is worth the 20 bucks a month! We still add in a little interval cardio but not as much as we use to do. What to expect from the app and the workouts: The app is easy to use. When you first log in, and pay, you will be asked a few questions about yourself and what type of sport you want to train for. There is also a choice for “overall athletic performance” if you don’t have a sport. The list is quit extensive so your sport should be listed. It will also ask you what type of equipment you have available (I will talk about equipment a little later) and how many days a week you want to workout. After this you will have your plan. Like I said, the workouts are good. There are a few glitches that happen (which is why I gave 4 stars). When you start the days workout everything is timed. Each step in the warmup pliability, the actual workout, and the cool down pliability is timed to the second. I like this part! Keeps me moving. Unfortunately there are times when the lady’s voice does not tell you to get ready for the next step. I can’t always be looking at the iPad and next thing you know it’s already on the next exercise. You can restart the step but it restarts the 20 second rest section too and I don’t always want that rest. When you do restart the step her voice comes back (clearly a glitch that I’m sure they will fix). Also, once you start the workout you must finish it. If you try to stop it and restart the workout from the beginning it will count the workout as completed. I found this out the hard way. Other than those two glitches the app works great. Equipment: Obviously you will need some equipment. Here is what I recommend: looped bands, handle bands, medicine ball vibrating ball and vibrating roller. Here is what you can get by with: looped band (these can serve double duty as handle bands), medicine ball and vibrating ball (this can be used in place of the roller BUT, if you’ve never used a ball to roll your muscles then it can be painful at first. The foam roller is much easier to get use to but it can’t do the shoulders.). Don’t skimp on the vibrating ball or roller. These are the key to it all. They aren’t cheap, which is why I started with the ball then bought the roller later, but they are worth it. Balls and rollers that don’t vibrate don’t get the job done (the vibration is the key). You can buy these through the app or just go online. The balls and rollers are made by Hyperice and they sell them without the TB12 logo. They might be slightly cheaper that way. The looped bands are not that expensive, the handle bands are a little more but they are good quality. I just got everything from TB12. It was just easier for me that way. Improvements that would be helpful: I really only use this app for the workouts. And that’s fine but it could be so much more. Tom Brady is all about the complete approach to health and longevity (pliability, exercise, hydration, nutrition, supplementation and recovery) but this app doesn’t do this approach justice. It would be great if you could track your food, water, supplements, workouts and sleep all in one place. The Under Armor apps are great at tracking all of these, they just don’t have built in workouts. It would be great if this app could sync with those. I believe Brady is a spokesman for UA so maybe it will happen. Conclusion: I recommend this app and the paid subscription. As with any health plan if you do the workout, eat healthy, drink a lot of water and get plenty of rest you will see results. The key to this one is the pliability and it is much easier on the joints (ligaments and tendons). Hope this review helps you! Have a great day!

    At first I was not to impressed with the free version of the app but the more I use it the more I like it. I have incorporated some of the exercise into my kettlebell workout and have seen real results. New workouts and information every week. So stick with it.
