  • Good product

Good Quality. Looks just like my iPhone dialing screen.
  • Not working in background

    By stanley-ny
This kind of app should be working (being active) in the background or when the phone or tablet is locked.
  • Bad audio

    By The only pj
Bad audio, lots of dropped calls, sometimes customers can not hear my voice
  • App quality needs improvements

Frankly I would not mind paying a subscription if the app works. With myself also a software developer, I know it costs money to keep improving apps and keeping up with the changes in the industry. So the subscription model is fair. After all it’s only the cost for a couple of coffee drinks per year. I tried the app on Samsung S8 and iPad. On Samsung S8, it does not pick calls. When the caller hangs up, the apps shows missed call. I had the app running in the foreground the whole time, but it never rang nor showed any indication of incoming call. Also whenever the app goes into background, it unregisters from the provider (I am using Vonage). When in the background, it does not pick up calls and I had push notifications enabled. Very disappointing. On iPad, it works better. It receives calls when the app is in the foreground and everything else appears to work properly. Before I upgraded iOS to 11.3, with push notifications enabled, it was picking up calls even when the app was in the background. But after upgrading iOS to 11.3, it stopped picking up calls when in the background. I hope they will fix this soon. On a positive note, Bria mobile seems to be quite stable during call. I have tried a few other sip phone apps, and they often froze on my Samsung s8 during call. The screen sometimes become unresponsive, especially when you try to switch to another app during a call, and eventually drop the call. So in that regard, Bria mobile is better.
  • 0 customer service or sales

For the past week i have been calling everyday to get help with connecting my phone to the app and no one picks the phone or call you back
  • Works ok. Funky reinstall process, but support is good

If you have to install the app on a new device, do it from your purchase history, not the store list. I guess it’s an App Store limitation. Anyway, the app itself is ok, hard to tell if quality issues I have are with it or my voip provider.
  • Another customer not happy

Count me in as another user who purchased this program only to find out they no longer support it and now they want us to pay a monthly subscription for it. I guess it time to find another option...
  • Bait and switch

Less than one year ago, paid $12.99 for the app + $3.99 for presence and messaging, and another $3.99 in-app purchase for video calls. Now, I’m expected to pay $9.99 a year to continue using what I’ve already paid for. The older existing versions have been removed from App Store and the developer links to a knowledge base article that doesn’t exist. Shady business practices. I’m so sick of subscription based apps. Edit: Developer responds recommending to view their blog post about why they switched to a subscription model. Blog says they supported last version for 7 years. Guess what? I paid full price for the app 4 months before it was retired. You knew ending support for that version was imminent yet continued to sell it for full price. 1 star rating stands. Not ok to support a company that does business like this.
  • Lack of iLBC codec

    By Kenlite
App UI is very nice, configuration easy,But, lack of iLBC codecs is disappointing me, many soft phones added iLBC support, and the voip voice quality is absolutely much better than G729 G711au ,so , when did you plan add iLBC codecs ? —— Actually I saw the forum discussion, your developer said he has a conflict problem can not resolve or a bug with the app itself add iLBC codes ,not because the other codes is better, apparently , the best open source PBX system asterisk still use iLBC, and many other apps , so I uninstalled Bria mobile and buy acrobits softphone.

I purchased this app as a a one time purchase. The developer decided to go to a subscription model. To force people to switch to their subscription model, they put out an update that causes the dialer to scramble numbers you enter. 123456789 scrambles to and dials as 234567891. That’s too stupid of a problem to be accidental, and previous versions worked fine. If you follow their directions to fix the dialer problem, which is to uninstall and reinstall, you will get locked out completely. The replacement app is designed to freeze up after the app downloads and starts to open. You have to click to signup for a monthly subscription, or the app wont continue, even if you click the restore purchase link. I consider this behavior unethical and dishonest. It’s fine to switch to a subscription model, but it’s not OK to go back and deliberately destroy an app that people paid for in order to force new monthly subscriptions. DON’T believe their responses acting as if you can re-download your old purchase...that doesn’t work. It will only download a version that can’t be used without a subscription. AND THE COUPON CODE THEY TALK ABOUT IS ONLY GOOD FOR 12 MONTHS, THEN THEY START CHARGING AN ARM AND A LEG. INCREDIBLY DISHONEST FIRM! I WONT USE THEIR PRODUCTS OUT OF PRINCIPLE!
