Constantly am having to relog in. Constantly freezing and having to close out and reopen. Takes out all the convenience. Otherwise it was a great app.

the new update is out of control. not at all user friendly like the simple, prior version. not to mention i haven’t been able to add anything into it for the last week as i keep getting an error saying “oops...that’s a bummer! failed to add new transaction.” WHAT GIVES????

Love Dollarbird! Easy to use but I do miss the forecast page for monthly excess after bills have been paid. Otherwise it is simple to use and is the best financial for me so far......without paying an arm and a leg for services I really can do without.
  • Amazing financial tool, some bugs

I use Dollarbird everyday! Even for the smallest transactions, I open up the app and categorize it in a way that makes sense to me. It’s really given me more awareness and power over my assets! Some bugs after the latest update (balance updates won’t save) but none-the-less I’m very happy. Hope to see more future applications with regards to future worth analysis for savings accounts or even weekly financial tips.
  • Freezes and crashes constantly

I am pretty disappointed by the update to Dollarbird 2, mostly for two reasons: 1) the new interface feels like it had the purpose to look good with no real purpose. Charges are harder to find and the monthly overview looks jammed. 2) A bigger letdown however is how data is handled on Dollarbird 2. Now it takes a long time after launching the app until all data has been loaded (it appears the app tries to load the most recent state from the server every time you open the app). This makes the simple process to open Dollardbird and adding charge very slow and cumbersome. Additionally the app freezes (probably also due to server communication issues) constantly. All in all the previous Dollarbird was much simpler and faster to use and this version feels heavy and slow. I am close to giving up on Dollarbird. Update after developer’s response: The app works worse than initially reported by me. It consistently freezes (approx. 9 out of the 10 times I open the app and try to add a charge it freezes). It crashes often as well. And approx once a day it logs you out so you will have to log in again. The app needs serious fixing.

I love the monthly display and the simple interface. I use it for spending tracking, and it's the only one i can find that gives me a nice clean monthly display. So I'm sticking with the app, but i am frustrated because it crashes randomly, logs me out randomly, even though i use it daily, and loads noticeably slower than most apps. It just logged me out for no reason, so I'm venting on here.
  • Scroll down and get the classic version

The new version bites. I had tried it on my Samsung and now again on iPhone X. Thank you so much for keeping the classic version available.., it is a lifesaver and I can not begin to tell you how great it is. It’s too bad the old version can’t be used across devices. The new version gave me different totals every time I looked, scrambled things and was just an utter mess. Please do not ever do away with the classic... I will be a lifetime supporter of THAT version.
  • Doesn’t Calculate Totals Correctly

This app used to be great and a huge help with tracking my finances. Now it doesn’t calculate totals correctly which 100% defeats the purpose of having it. I wasted an hour of my time trying to find my input mistake to correct the discrepancy between the app and my bank account but it turns out, the issue wasn’t with me. The app all of the sudden can’t do basic math?! I’ve noticed in other reviews that when this issue is mentioned, it’s completely ignored in the Dollarbird teams response. Please fix this issue ASAP or I’ll have to jump ship to an app that functions correctly.
  • Bad Design Decisions

I was ecstatic when I heard there would be a new version of Dollarbird. Unfortunately it seems that they took out all the elements that made the classic version great. It feels like the PM and or Designer fundamentally don't understand what made their first app great and instead focused on redesigning and adding bells and whistles. This produced a very poor product where it actually takes MORE steps to complete the core actions. If you do decide to revisit this, I would suggest iterating on the original app, reskinning it, and adding things rather than blowing it up and changing the core things that made it great.
  • Needs budgeting

Love the app for that way it lays the month out in calendar format but wish budgeting was a feature.
