They reward even F2P players with constant events and giveaways. The gacha is very generous, the special Legendary Hero banners even go up to 8% chance for a 5-star, and the game actually has a story and gameplay (the story’s not very interesting, but there is one, anyway). It’s not another empty gacha game where you just collect a bunch of anime characters and tap on the screen forever. The tactics are real, unique builds and teams are real, and honestly, everything is so much better than 90% of free games, if not all games, on the App Store. The significant difference of FEH from other games is how it makes money. That’s right. While the majority of gacha games try to pressure the player into spending money by having them summon a boat load of trash, FEH gives you a chance to actually become good at the game without spending money. You can enter Tier 20, the highest tier, and defeat all the Infernal GHB maps and such without spending a penny. Negative reviews exist, and their arguments are justifiable. However, it’s most likely that they’ve never really played any other gacha game before. 3% 5-star + 3% 5-star focus is actually pretty high, and the Legendary Hero banner gives an insanely high chance for you to pull a 5-star. I usually get one within 15-30 Orbs. But still, you can’t always get what you want. Life happens. And about the tier lists: the tier lists only exist to rate the quality of units alone. If you’ve ever entered the Tier 20 Arena (or any tier arena, really), you’d know that there are PLENTY of low-tier characters who use good, and even pretty affordable, builds. Being good at the game actually takes some thinking, believe it or not (and money, if you really have to). Thus, even if you get a unit that is deemed as “bad” on a tier list, some strategizing will enable you to come up with some crazy builds and team combinations to significantly improve the performance of that character. With enough investment, any character can be good enough to compete in the top leagues (except Odin, don’t use him). One of the few complaints I’d have about the game is how we eventually hit a wall, where there’s nothing left to do. Beat all the challenges, finish your Arena run, clear all the Chain Challenges and story maps, and now there’s nothing left. I simply wish for more replayability. A real-time PvP mode also would be great. Yes, it’s true that it probably would end up being a stalling fest, but elements like capturing bases like in Rival Domains that force players to engage in battle could work. Interactions between players also seem to be minimal. Challenging a friend’s party or guilds seem like amazing features. Really though, I can’t complain much more. It’s a great game, and now I can sleep well at night knowing the world isn’t polluted with only garbage waifu-collecting screen-tapping gacha games.
  • Three things I would like to ask for!

1)Let's say there's a hero you don't want, if so can you add trading to the game? 2)Can you PLEASE raise the appearance rate of 5-Star focuses? 3)Besides linking to a Nintendo account can there be a way where you're in that situation where you can't ( ex: switching a new device and you can't transfer data of your progress ) can you just type in the name the game calls you by and that way you can continue where you left off. Overall, A GREAT GAME! Edit: Okay Nintendo. Let's talk serious here. I have a friend and we both play talking to each other across the U.S.A.. I mentioned this game to her, and one day she send me a picture of her downloading it. After a few Alternate Banners, I began to noticed a pattern when we summoned trying to get the heroes we want. (We don't succeed every time as much as I want to) Here is what I gathered so far. Note: In order of summoning Ylissean Summer: I got nothing, my friend got Summer Frederick and Summer Older Tiki. Nohrian Summer: I got Summer Xander, Summer Corrin, and Summer Leo, my friend got nothing. Performing Arts: We both got nothing. Trick Or Defeat!: We both got nothing. Christmas Cheer(I think it's what it was called...): I got nothing, my friend got Christmas Robin. New Year's Eve: I got nothing(and had freaking completely forgot about New Year Corrin being in a hero battle), my friend got New Year Takumi (and New Year Azura I think...?) Love Abounds: I didn't want any of the heroes from this banner because I found well...dumb that there were Valentine's Day Theme heroes and that there were five of them this time, but my friend got I think Valentines Liliana and Valentines Hector...I forgot who was the four out of the five heroes up on that banner... Fallen Heroes: We both got Fallen Takumi, I got Fallen Celica, and my friend got Fallen Robin. Hares At The Fair(My personal favorite): I got Spring Sharena and Spring Alfonse, but my friend got nothing which really upsets me because I really saw a chance of both of us getting what we want in this banner... Heirs Of Fates(NOT the one with the four children from FEFates): I got everyone which includes Female Kana, Shigure, and Warrior Hinoka, but my friend didn't get anything from this banner either... The rest I got nothing(we BOTH don't have the greatest luck in Legendary Banners) and since then I've lost contact with my friend but only in iMessage terms. When Hares At The Fair came out, the appearance rate said 3.25%. It didn't bother me at first on the first day, but LATER I learned others got MUCH different appearance rates. This really ticks me off, and I noted this to myself immediately. THESE banners I'm dealing with right now? I'm not even kidding when I say that EVERY. SINGLE. BANNER. HAD. 3.00%. AS. THE. FREAKING. APPEARANCE. RATE. FOR. THE. 5-STARS. AND. 5-STAR FOCUSES. Honestly Nintendo I love this game with all my heart and I'm still giving it a 5-Star, BUT you seriously need to change the appearance rate much bigger than 3:00% and make it increase by 25% for every two times you summon. Because I think everyone reading this can agree with me and that we need the game to summon better fodders and are sick getting the same units over and over and over again. Overall, I love this game with all my heart. P.S. Do not ever put a 13 or younger year old child in a wedding dress P.S.S. Why is there Groom Marth in the first place? P.S.S.S. Brave Lyn shouldn't be a broken unit P.S.S.S.S Why can't Season heroes be permanent like the brace heroes and have a free hero banner?

  • My favorite game

    By cade irwin
I love this game. It’s challenging when you get to higher levels and you really need to know some strategy to get past some of the hard maps. Summoning is interesting as 5 star heroes don’t show up as often and when they do show up it’s really rewarding. I love this game and as a fan of the series, it’s great 10/10 would play for the rest of my life

This game is a fun game. But over time, no matter how many of your favorites you get, you will never have them all.. If you want something... even if you spend money you may not get it. The game invests way more time into new characters to try to provoke you to spend money than on any fun gameplay. I quit for months and nothing is different except there are more characters I really want. The game is still a painful grind to collect enough orbs to build the team composition I want. By the time I get that red mage flier the game isn't fun anymore. It's been months of trying. I played enough to do a couple summons and didn't get anything. Reminds me how I wasted hundreds of orbs before which lead to me quitting. Yes sometimes you get the one you want. Enough to keep you hooked. I've redone this review twice over the last year. I was a huge fan for a while. But the game is not as fun as getting the heroes. And that rarely happens
  • A Few Flaws

    By Gazer lazer
Fire Emblem Heroes is a great game, I’ve played since launch and am still playing and am enjoying the game, but there are flaws. 1. Rates. Okay normal 5 star pools being 3% is okay (don’t get me wrong it could be better) but my real issue here is legendary banners. The 8% is cancelled out because there are so little 5 stars to pull. So the rate being maybe 10 or 15% would work in my opinion. 2. Alternative characters Okay Seasonal characters are fine but when we get to the point of having 5 Lyns, yeah FIVE LYNS, there is obviously an issue. For example, we have gotten these characters from fates this year. NY, Camilla, Azura, Takumi, and Corrin. Flying Hinoka, Shigure, Kana and Kana. Summer Camilla and Takumi. Spring Kagero and Evil Takumi. Overall we have gotten 2 brand new fates characters this YEAR. We have more Takumis than original fates units! (I am not counting Shigure because he had his Preforming Arts alt) I think you can see the problem. 3 The story The difficulty to beat the story is getting more and more difficult as more characters become more and more useless. For example, Lukas, my first 5 star unit was amazing in the story back last year but now? He is the first to die if I even try to do lunatic with him (I don’t use him anymore, I have better units) but power creep is real and if IS doesn’t realize that, their game is going to burn out. Overall, it’s a good game and recommend it, just note these flaws will be there.

It’s cool, similar to the gameboy version in some ways, but I just have no idea what’s going on. I’m just fighting and leveling up
