  • Great app, but needs better help

I really like this app - the free features were very helpful, and I can see the benefit of the paid version. A couple of minor points: I could not figure out how to rotate the head for a long time. I looked on YouTube for a how-to video and I could not find one. I finally figured it out on my own, and it is nice an intuitive. Second, the preview image does not update if you make changes to the model. I fixed this by duplicating the model. This did have the annoying affect of adding the word “copy” to all my models, though. I am an art model, and I use this app to keep track of my timed poses (difficult 1 minute gesture poses all the way to 20 minute+ relaxed poses). It would be nice if the app were able to recognize my poses automatically (using OpenPose). It would also be nice for it to allow some metadata (time, difficulty, rating). Great job!

MagicPoser is a great app that I would recommend for any artist. The posecloud is a very good source of poses made by the community, great 3d models and dozens of props to use. My only real complaint is that the paying mode needs more models and perks, but otherwise a good app.

could you please add a category for houses and buildings and such? i create some houses and stuff using the shapes and would love it if it was easier to search and share buildings by quickly going to a building category also having actual children models would help a ton!
  • Best posing app for scene setup!

This has become my go-to app for poses and scenes. It’s so much more convenient than googling in hopes of finding a ref photo that was just right. It’s well worth upgrading to Pro. The ability to lock individual figures and objects, scale things in multiple axies, and to undo movements by joints has made it even more useful! They added preset poses in a recent update, too, which make a great starting point when you want to work from something different than the basic T pose. Right now you can duplicate objects, but you can’t group them, so building out large scenes with geometric shapes is a little tedious, but doable. Developers update the app frequently, so it gets better each time. There are multiple models to pick from now, so you can set up interactions between figures of different body types (basic human, anime, chibi). About the only thing I feel like it’s lacking is an auto save feature. If you don’t remember to save your pose and close the app, you’ll lose your work and have to redo it.

I find this app to be a stunning and amazing tool for all artists. The mannequins provided can be your canvas to strike a pose for character designers and manga artists. Think of this as your virtual life drawing course. You move the pose and create better drawings for your artist sketchbook and portfolio. The MagicPoser Pro is well worth buying to save your poses for future use.

Quick n easy to pose figures!
  • Missing axis

Rotating joints outside of arm and hip joints is now missing an axis and it is now impossible to make some poses without it. Please add it back. Edit: The missing axis has been added back in the most recent update. Thank you so much

My only problem with the app is that you can’t really bind props together or lock a certain part of the pose in place. Like... I can’t lock the body and just manipulate the arm. Otherwise, I’d love if we could group things together and move them as a unit. Still such a great app! Edit: I think the child’s model is a step in the right direction to be sure, but there are a few suggestions I had! First: the adding of a more realistic model for a child like the two models of a man and a woman would be very helpful, especially for someone who draws in that style like myself! Also, the little girl having a distinct hair shape might make it a little bit hard to nail down a different style you might have intended for the character. Likewise, the child having breasts seems... incongruent? Odd. Definitely odd. Great first step, though! I’m having a problem connecting to the pose library. It keeps glitching and saying “oops something went wrong,” flickering between an error message and a loading symbol? Anyone else?

I absolutely love this, it’s incredible I don’t have to google any poses or spend money on expensive figures. The flexibility of the models is amazing, and you can virtually have them do anything. The only suggestions I have is for some child models, and some animal models. -Thanks, Samantha.
