  • The best book app

This is the best book app I’ve ever downloaded hands down. It has a beautiful interface. As a warning, it’s not good reads. It’s not a social media app. But what it does do is categorize your reads, time then, rate them, and let you take control of your reading habits in a smart way. The amount of features you can get through the app is worth the 30 dollars a year. I’m a book blogger, so this is pretty much essential to my life. I absolutely love it.
  • Love the app but....

...... the new collections feature freezes the app. I created a collection but cannot seem to add books — the app freezes! One that is fixed, this will be a five star review. The developers are really good about addressing issues — the last problem I was having (see below) was fixed. Now, I am still waiting to hear back on my app support email which I sent two days ago. I’m confident someone will get back to me. Previous review — this is now resolved .... It. Is. So. Slow. To. Record. Info. I’ve been using the app for over a year and made the monetary investment for the best experience. A few updates ago, I noticed the app slowing down. It can take up to a few minute before the app clears out of whatever data gathering it is doing. For example....when I finish a book, I will enter the page I got to...and wait for the rating to pop up....and wait again for the app to recognize I have clicked the rate and finish button. I thought maybe this latest update would fix that — I’ve mentioned the problem before— but alas, it has not! Please look into this.
  • Suggestion

I like the app but I have a a suggestion and a question. The first suggestion is why you don't add sync to your goodread account or at least a way that I could export books from there. My question is that I am a pro user who bought the app before changing the business model. My question is that do I miss any features and if not, why do you keep ask me to subscribe monthly. I have choose the option no so it should not promote me again to subscribe, it's not fair for me since I paid for it when you had your old business model.

I love this app! The features that are being added are wonderful! One glitch I have noticed is that the ambient noises will only play if I have headphones in. They won’t play otherwise. Maybe this was intentional— I’m not sure. But changing it so that they can play with or without headphones would be even better! Also— list view instead of circular view for books? Maybe?
  • No more stop button on timer

The new update removed the stop and pause buttons on the timer, so now, the timer continuously runs with no way to end the reading session. I use this app to time reading sessions, not do all the fancy things they just added. Without a way to time reading sessions, the app is useless to me. Very disappointed.

This is a great app! Easy to use, clean displays, nice and simple. I've only used it for a couple of books but it really motivated me to make time for a hobby that I don't have as much time for anymore. I tend to have a slower reading pace than most, so the infographics were pretty interesting. And it's great being able to see the progress I'm making, especially when I'm reading a 700+ pg book. There was a tiny bug I noticed when I had to delete an incorrectly recorded reading session (that was my fault), and the page numbers on the page for the book's overall info and the page for the book's reading sessions didn't sync up right. Nothing that's too much of a problem, but it just bothered me a bit. It'd be nice to get that fixed. Also, I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and that's hard to keep track of on here. I figure I can just mark them as "read in the past," since the app wasn't designed for audiobook listening and etc, but it'd be great if for "read in the past book" there was an option to just quickly put in what day you finished the book, or perhaps which days you were reading it. But that's about it. Overall this is a great app! I definitely regret not getting it earlier tbh.
  • Very helpful but I wish they’d change a few things

This is a great app with some great features but I wish they’d change the carousel style shelving. When you have a lot of books, it’s time consuming to scroll left and right trying to find the book you’re looking for. Also, I wish there was a way to shelve books you didn’t finish or books you have on hold without it cluttering up the carousel where you have the books you are currently reading.

  • Don’t do subscriptions

This is a cute app with very limited features. Price was too high when it was a one time $7 but now charging a $5 a month subscription is ridiculous. The info graphics are cute but frequently I’ll mark a book read then come back to the app for next reading session and book is still marked unfinished. I’ll just use the stopwatch rather than pay a subscription
  • Who came up with such great idea!

I needed something to know how many pages of a book I'm reading a day and track the progress of the book. Initially, I was using stopwatch and writing the minutes and pages down manually, but then I found this app and it made everything simple and easy. Really loved the idea of this app! You think about something and there is an app for that. I like so much about this app from the layout to colors, feel and esthetics. Visual data and graphs help me track my progress and encourage me to read more everyday. Finding titles online is really handy, you don’t need to fill up author name and title info or take the cover photo. For the future updates, we would love to see if there is something we could link this app with Goodreads. Now, there is something I don’t like, the pattern of subscription. How something so simple is a monthly subscription service? I understand that there are engineers constantly working on it, but there should be at a way to pay one time and may be get some extra features. Since I'm not a heavy book reader, I would not subscribe and then forget about it and keep paying for something I’m barely using. However, I would love to support the app if there is some onetime buying feature may be with just few extra features like the option of adding 10 more books. Again, thanks to the team for such great app and their work.
